W Straits Limited Asia Berhad, in partnership with HAG Mineral Sdn Bhd, has embarked on a groundbreaking initiative to rehabilitate 2,502.833 acres of land in Setiu, Terengganu. This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)-driven collaboration aims to transform the area into a thriving hub for agriculture and livestock development while promoting sustainable practices.
The project also involves processing BRIS soil and silica sand for domestic and international markets, emphasizing environmentally friendly resource utilization. To ensure the success of the initiative, a comprehensive capital injection framework has been established, supported by a structured repayment mechanism.
Provisions have been made to establish a dedicated office space for project execution, potentially in facilities managed by subsidiaries or state government entities in Terengganu. This partnership underscores W Straits Limited’s commitment to driving economic growth and regional sustainability while addressing global challenges through innovative solutions.
